Local tips

The Thunder Bay centre is in the McIntyre Centre at 1186 Memorial Avenue, Unit 2, at the corner of Memorial Avenue and Isabel Street, a short walk from Intercity Shopping Centre. Map data shows a free customer lot beside the building. Memorial Avenue is a four-lane road with a 60 km/h limit, and the Isabel Street signals are right at the corner of the plaza, so practice right and left turns at that light. About 300 m away, Memorial Avenue crosses the CN rail line at grade, so be ready to slow down and scan both ways. The Harbour Expressway lights and the wide Fort William Road corridor are also within a kilometre, so practice multi-lane turns there too. The centre is open on weekdays only.
