Local tips

Toronto's Port Union centre is in Unit 109A of the Village of Abbey Lane Shopping Centre at 91 Rylander Boulevard, in the far east end of Scarborough. The plaza sits right against Highway 401, so you are close to high-speed traffic from the moment you leave: collector ramps run beside the site, and Kingston Road ramps are only a few hundred metres away. Kingston Road itself is a six-lane arterial with signals at Rylander Boulevard, Ellesmere Road and the large Port Union Road/Sheppard Avenue East junction. Rouge Valley Public School and St. Dominic Savio Catholic School are both within about 250 metres, so expect school-zone traffic on weekdays. Map data shows a lot signed for DriveTest road test parking only beside the centre. Inside services run until 7 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays until 5 p.m., and road tests are booked Monday to Saturday. If you can't find a slot here, Oshawa and Toronto Metro East are the closest alternatives.
