Local tips

The Sudbury centre is in the Montrose Mall plaza at 782 LaSalle Boulevard, near the corner of Montrose Avenue. Map data shows surface parking around the plaza. The centre is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and road tests are by appointment, so leave enough time to park and check in before your slot. LaSalle Boulevard is one of the city's main arterials: it is several lanes wide, with turn lanes and a string of signals at Montrose, Madeleine and Rideau, and Lauzon Avenue. Practice picking the correct lane early and checking blind spots before changing lanes. École séparée Félix-Ricard is about 250 m away, so watch for the school-zone limit on weekdays. Further out, the Attlee Avenue rail crossing and the Notre Dame Avenue intersection are worth driving before your test. DriveTest also uses this location as the check-in point for commercial-class tests.
