The Cityplace Service Centre is inside Cityplace at 234 Donald Street in downtown Winnipeg. MPI lists weekday hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday road test appointments are offered in Winnipeg. This is the busiest setting of any Manitoba centre. Donald Street is a four-lane route through the core, and there are traffic lights at nearly every corner: Graham Avenue is about 80 metres away, St. Mary Avenue about 100 metres, and Hargrave and Smith streets just beyond. Expect buses, pedestrians and cyclists at every intersection. Map data shows a paid parkade about 75 metres away, so plan where you'll park before test day. Our 14.8 km practice route leaves downtown on Notre Dame and Portage avenues and loops through the West End on Ellice, Sargent, Wellington and Arlington, so practice shoulder checks, lane positioning and yielding to pedestrians at busy crosswalks.

What are the hours at Cityplace?
MPI lists Mon–Fri 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.. Road tests are by appointment on weekdays, with Saturday appointments in Winnipeg. Check mpi.mb.ca for holiday closures.
How do I book a road test?
Book online through MPI's appointment site, at an Autopac agent, or by phone at 204-985-7000. You can book up to 60 days ahead. Check in 15 minutes before your appointment.
What do I need to bring?
A valid Class 5 learner (5L) or intermediate (5A) licence, the vehicle's registration certificate, and a supervising driver for check-in. The vehicle needs a working passenger-seat headrest for the examiner.
Can I take my road test outside Winnipeg?
No. MPI says Winnipeg residents must take their Class 5 road test at a Winnipeg Service Centre.
